Home Finalist Details

Business Makeover Project Partners had a difficult decision to make when choosing five (5) finalists during the First-Ever Business Makeover Birmingham. After reviewing all entries, Business Makeover Birmingham Project Partners chose the following finalists:

Finalists were asked to submit financial information and tax returns.

A Project Partner scheduled to visit with a finalist at their place of business to tour the company and interview executives and employees.  All five finalists’ site visits were conducted in mid-August 2009.  The five finalists made 30 minute presentations to all the Project Partners to answer the following questions:  

  • Why should your company be selected?
  • What are your plans and your opportunities for growth and expansion?
  • What are your goals?
  • Why do you feel you need a team of advisors?  

The winning company agreed to sign a release form allowing its company's name and relevant makeover information to be publicized. 

 

WINNING COMPANY RECEIVES:
For six months, the winning company will receive $30,000 worth of expert advice and guidance from Project Partners on how to:  

  • Establish goals
  • Provide clarity of vision
  • Develop a new strategic plan
  • Reduce expenses
  • Increase profits
  • Limit liability
  • Enhance productivity
  • Increase positive publicity 

The progress towards meeting these objectives will be reviewed with the company management team in monthly board meetings with Project Partners.  

In addition, the winning company will receive ongoing publicity in the Birmingham Business Journal as coverage is provided of the Business Makeover progress.
