A: The company selected for Business Makeover Birmingham® will not only learn how to improve its business, but also how to better navigate a challenging economy. For six months, the winning company will receive $30,000 worth of expert advice and guidance on how to:

In summary, the Project Partners hope to help the winning company take its entrepreneurial efforts to new heights... from good to great.
The progress towards meeting these objectives will be reviewed with the company management team in monthly board meetings with Project Partners.

A: Business Makeover Birmingham® is a joint promotion of six local businesses, each of which is committed to helping local businesses grow and prosper. Our Project Partners want to demonstrate the value they bring to companies through their services and advice.
Q: What are the qualifications in order to enter my business?
A: To enter the Business Makeover Birmingham® your company must meet the following requirements:

Your company must be a locally-owned business.

Your company must employ 10 or more people.

Companies must be based in the Birmingham Metro Area.

Companies must have been in business for a minimum of three (3) years.

Only business-to-business or service businesses considered.

There is a annual minimum revenue requirement of $1 million.
Q: How do I apply to win the 2010 Business Makeover Birmingham® contest?
A: All applications have been received.
Q: When is the 2010 deadline for entries?
A: Deadline for entries was July 15, 2010.
Q: How will the winning company be selected?
A: After reviewing all entries, Business Makeover Birmingham® Project Partners will choose five (5) finalist companies. Finalists will be asked to submit financial reports and tax returns for the past three (3) years. One Project Partner will visit each finalist location to interview employees and tour the company.
The five finalists will then each be asked to make a 30 minute presentation to the Project Partners to answer the following questions:

Why do you feel you need a team of advisors?
The winning company must agree to sign a release form allowing your company name and makeover information to be publicized in the media.
Q: What constitutes the Birmingham Metro Area?
A: The seven-county region included in the Birmingham Metro Area are Bibb, Blount, Chilton, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair and Walker counties.
