August 16, 2010 - Business Makeover Birmingham®, in its second year of transforming good businesses into great businesses, now has a registered trademark for its logo. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office recently conferred the registration.
“It’s our intention to foster Birmingham’s small- and medium-sized, privately-held business community for years to come. The trademark lets business leaders know we are in this for the long haul,” said Ruwena Healy president of Marketing 24/7, a Project Partner for Business Makeover Birmingham ®.

More than 75 members of Birmingham's business community celebrated the launch of the 2nd annual Business Makeover Birmingham® project with an elegant reception held at Maynard Cooper & Gale law office on August 12th from 5:00pm-7:00pm. During the event, the Business Makeover Birmingham seven Project Partners revealed this year's five finalists, which are All Seasons Travel Agency, Inc./American Express, Changing Spaces Moving, Inc., Hamburger Heaven, Employment Screening Services, Inc. and Sign Express, Inc. d/b/a CSE Sports. One of these companies will be chosen to win a complete business makeover valued at $30,000 moving the company from "good to great".

The project partners have accepted all nominations and applications for the 2010 makeover. The five finalist will be announced at a special reception on August 12, 2010 from 5 -7 pm at the law offices of Maynard Cooper and Gale, P.C.
